Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of salesignal.ca and related services operated by SaleSignal (“SaleSignal”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using SaleSignal, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What SaleSignal is

SaleSignal is a price-tracking service that monitors publicly available prices at Canadian retailers, builds price history, and provides comparisons and a “Should I Buy Now” recommendation. It is an informational tool to help you make your own purchasing decisions.

Accuracy of price data

Price information is gathered from publicly accessible retailer websites and third-party sources and is updated periodically. Prices may be delayed, incomplete, or occasionally inaccurate — a retailer may change a price at any time, and the price shown on SaleSignal may differ from the price at the retailer. Always confirm the current price with the retailer before purchasing. We are not responsible for pricing errors, availability, or any transaction between you and a retailer.

The Should I Buy Now recommendation

The Should I Buy Now signal and any related guidance are generated from historical price patterns and are provided for informational purposes only. They are not guarantees, financial advice, or a promise of future prices. We make no warranty as to their accuracy, and you are solely responsible for your purchasing decisions.

Affiliate disclosure

SaleSignal earns a commission when you purchase through our links. This never influences our price data, recommendations, or Should I Buy Now signals. Our algorithm uses only price history — commission rates are not a factor.

Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and for activity that occurs under it. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You must be the age of majority in your province to create an account.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service or its data.
• Resell or redistribute our data or content without permission.
• Abuse alerts, requests, or other features, or circumvent plan limits.

Pro subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid Pro subscription. Pricing is shown on our pricing page and is charged in Canadian dollars plus applicable taxes, billed through our payment provider. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time, effective at the end of the current billing period; except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change pricing on a prospective basis with notice.

Intellectual property

SaleSignal, including its name, design, software, and original content, is owned by us and protected by applicable laws. Product names, brands, and retailer trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only; we are not affiliated with or endorsed by those retailers.

Third-party links and retailers

The service contains links to third-party retailer websites. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, prices, policies, or practices. Your dealings with any retailer are solely between you and that retailer.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, SaleSignal will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the service or from reliance on any price data or recommendation.

Termination

You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or to protect the service and its users. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
